Rosy Cheeks Resurfacing Powder Mask

This pretty pink gel mask is an all in one exfoliating wonder! Using all natural chemical exfoliants, it gently resurfaces your delicate facial skin, dissolving dead skin and oil, revealing a fresh new face.

~Alpha Hydroxy Acids like glycolic acid and lactic acid are powerful exfoliants, blasting through
the layers of dead skin that can't quite be removed with normal cleansing and scrubbing,
making your face dull and allowing pores to be clogged more easily. However, in high amounts,
especially with synthetic types, they can cause severe reactions.

Here we use all botanically-derives acids, such as Glycolic Acid from sugar cane and Lactic Acid
from Bilberry, as well as Malic, Tartaric, and Citric Acids. These are more gentle but just as
effective.

~Beta Hydroxy Acids are the real MVPs however, as they are oil-soluble unlike AHA so they can
actually penetrate your stratum corneum (top protective layer of your face) into your pores to
actually remove oil and gunk and clear everything out. The only one we really ever use these
days is good old Salicylic Acid. The synthetic stuff we're used to can again cause irritation in
concentrations higher than 2%, which is fine for store-bought acne cream, but not fine for us.

Instead we use Willow Bark Extract, a natural form of salicins, the precursor to our beloved BHA.
This is the same bark that has been used as an anti-inflamatory and a pain reliever for thousands
of years, from which came aspirin. It is quite effective at the exfoliating bit, while actively
soothing redness and inflammation, even at high concentrations.

Apply a layer of this gorgeous mask onto clean dry skin, avoiding eyes and lips, and leave on for 5-10 mins. A slight tingling is normal but if it starts to hurt, wash off immediately. If your skin is not particularly sensitive, you can leave it on as long as 15 mins.
